Strengthening resilience against hybrid threats: Award-winning training initiative

At the end of 2020, we designed and delivered a training programme aimed at building the long-term resilience of EU staff against hybrid threats. In collaboration with European Commission and European Parliament services, we created an interactive exercise to help participants recognize and respond to coordinated disinformation attacks. Delivered virtually to more than 100 EU staff members from EC Representations, EP Liaison Offices, and EU Delegations in the Eastern Partnership countries, the training featured a fictional scenario based on real-world tactics by state and non-state actors. Participants worked in groups on a specialized platform to develop effective response strategies. In 2021, the program was recognized by the EU’s European School of Administration, winning the award for the “Best learning action addressing skills for the future.”
