EU ‘Above the Noise’ campaign launched in Ghana
On 17 February 2025, the European Union launched the ‘Above the Noise’ campaign (Au-delà des échos in French-speaking countries) in Ghana, marking the start of an innovative regional communication initiative. The campaign is developed for the European External Action Service by Stratcom PRO, in partnership with GOPA PACE and a Ghana-based creative agency EchoHouse.
Designed to spark conversations on migration, disinformation, multilateralism, and peace & security, the campaign creates a unique debate platform where young people discuss key global issues in a format that resonates with their daily lives.
Set against vibrant city rooftops, the campaign visually represents the EU’s commitment to providing a platform for African youth (18–35) to share their perspectives. The campaign will run in Ghana, Nigeria, Benin, Chad, and South Africa, leveraging social media, TV, and radio to reach audiences both online and offline. EU Delegations’ Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube channels serve as the primary platforms, with additional amplification through influencers, giveaways, and interactive content.

Each country will feature four in-depth discussion videos – one for each theme – alongside shorter, mobile-optimised versions for social media. A launch video for each country will introduce the campaign and build momentum.
